Documented objectives and clear roles of responsibility flow from our Sales Process into our Delivery Process establishing the footing for a successful engagement. From this point, some of our clients desire that our Consultants follow their established delivery methodology and others request that we use the xScion Project Methodology (xPM).
In either case, we follow the methodology with the discipline required in today's fast-paced IT organizations. Too often, in an attempt to please or avoid confrontation, representatives from professional services firms will accommodate client requests at the peril of the project. Our Consultants are not afraid to say "no" if doing so will allow the team to achieve the objectives the client established. Of course we also recognize that business drivers and other factors change project objectives. Because we recognize this, the xPM contains a process for Change Management that is easily implemented should it be necessary.
Full understanding of a client's business objective coupled with a detailed project plan and a robust methodology are the foundation of a successful project or engagement. A commitment to strong management discipline on the project ensures it. At xScion, from our newest hire to our founding members, we have the discipline to do it right.
